The Secret Economics of Dungeons & Dragons

Posted by Tony Vigil on

Phil Edward’s created a fantastic documentary about the economics of TTRPGs, with emphasis on Dungeons and Dragons and the very creative industry that grew from its humble beginnings. While we do sell all manner of role play game products, most of what we offer would not be available if not for the community that began with D&D.

Dungeons & Dragons is the most well known TTRPG, but there is a much larger world the covers so many other worlds and environments. There has never been a better time in the history of TTRPGs to try different game systems set with entire worlds that all are designed to immerse players in settings & stories. Regardless of the game systems and world you choose to play in, you’ll get to have fantastic adventures that will surely be memorable and cherished!

The video is a bit longer than many of Phil Edward’s other videos, which are also incredibly informative and entertaining! Running at a little over 38 minutes, he does cover a lot of ground surrounding the community of budding entrepreneurs that grew out of the Open Gaming License.
